Surfboard: Dale Velzy Gidget Foam Board, 1962. 9 feet 3 inches x 21 inches. Great original condition. During the early 60s Dale Velzy was recognised as the most prolific board manufacturer. This particular board was basically a stock Velzy with a 3/4 inches redwood stringer and high density foam fin. What makes this board unique is that it was adapted for use as a prop board for the Gidget series. In particular for Gidget Goes to Waikiki. Signed by Velzy it has had all dings and dents repaired, glossed and polished. An interesting piece of Hollywoods Surf history.
