A Chinese hardwood box, late Qing Dynasty to early 20th century, the rectangular hinged box of plain form with a simple channel feature to the edge of the lid and dovetail joins to the slightly rounded edges, with a traditional circular plate with hinged ruyi style lock and swing 'C' style handles to the sides.
