A rare Chinese white marble seated lion, Tang Dynasty, 618-907 the carved figure seated back on its haunches with the muscular front paws forward on the rectangular base, the head facing forward with a smooth curly mane, the mouth open revealing smooth teeth above a pointed beard. See similar Sotheby's London May 2014. Provenance: Private Collection of a gentleman. Height 16 cm
