A Clarice Cliff Bizarre 'Flora' ceramic wall mask, circa 1930, the large moulded mask with a wreath of flowers about her head in colours, mark of Clarice Cliff underside; provenance the mask hung in the vendor's original Art Deco family home on Glenferrie Hill and was cited in a 'Herald' review of the then newly completed house, November 28 1935, as 'Quaint'. It was characterized by streamlined, geometric shapes, bright colours, and the use of new materials such as chrome, glass, and Bakelite.
