A rare blue and white and copper-red 'weiqi' box and cover, Qing Dynasty, 18/19th century, very well painted with two magpies amongst chrysanthemum, bamboo and rocks, recessed base, an iron oxide burn to the rim, the copper-red extremely well controlled, 10 cm high, 10 cm diameter at the mouth.
