Artist Unknown, portrait of Dr. George Cleghorn (Scottish) 1716 - 1798. Signed mid-left 'H Warfon? lune? 1763'. Pastel on canvas. Perhaps a later 19th century copy after an earlier portrait. 57 x 43.5 cm. Note: Dr. Cleghorn a published author 'Observations on Diseases Epidemic in Minorca 1751', is also credited for discovering quinine as a remedy against Malaria
