A Chinese pierced white jade plaque, Qing Dynasty, early 19th century, worked in high relief with deer amongst pine, the reverse side with a pagoda, mounted in a wooden stand. 7.8 cm high, 5.8 cm wide (height with stand 10.8 cm). Provenance: Franca Arena OA; acquired by a European collector in China in the 1940/50's

  • Qing Dynasty - The Qing Dynasty was the last imperial dynasty of China, ruling from 1644 to 1912. It was established by the Manchu people, who originated from the northeastern region of China. The Qing Dynasty was preceded by the Ming Dynasty and followed by the Republic of China.
