An embroidered silk hardwood screen of rectangular form, embroidered in colours on a cream silk ground with pairs of different species of birds near a large pine tree growing beside rockwork, various flowering plants and lingzhi fungus, including song birds, cockerels, white geese, cranes, turkeys, pheasants and with a large eagle hovering above, set within a carved and pierced wood frame and matching hardwood stand pierced with lotus and hibiscus scrolls and flanked by shaped dragon scroll flanges to either side, supported on a pair of Buddhist lion feet 190 cm high, 115 cm wide (overall).
