Meiji period (1868-1912), the baluster shaped vases with waisted necks and reserves exquisitely painted in a muted palette with figures in traditional narrative scenes, upon a cobalt ground with rich gold scrollwork in low relief; Kinkozan tsukuru mark underside to both.
