Alinghi?s Newmarket Handicap Trophy: Goblet-shaped trophy, 31 cm tall, top hand-blown Australian glass, base sterling silver decorated with grapes and vines, engraved 'Seppelt Wines, Newmarket Handicap' & 'Flemington, 12th March 2005, Alinghi'. Made by Peter Gertler, Gold & Silversmith, with his signature & hallmark on base, numbered 2/3 (several of the owners wanted this trophy, so two extras were made), in original presentation box. Australia?s premier sprint race, other famous winners include Ajax (1938), Bernborough (1946), Schillaci (1992) & Black Caviar (2011)
