A World War I trench art inkwell, a horse's hoof with an aluminium handmade lid, decorated with a map of N.Z and Australia with the letters ANZACS, the handle lifts to stand as a pen holder, family provenance of vendor states that the horse was killed on the battle field and was owned by the company captain, reported to have been made by the company blacksmith, accompanied by a letter from the vendor. 13 x 14 cm
