A Royal Worcester porcelain 'Limoges Enamel' decorated plaque, dated 1878, the enamel decoration by Thomas John Bott, oval, cobalt blue ground, finely decorated in white enamel with Venus emerging from the shell, signed 'TJBott. 1878.' (the three initials in compendium), mounted in an antique gilt frame with velvet lined slip, the reverse unmarked as to manufacture, 27.5 x 22.5 cm, oval. Condition: extensive restoration, hairline cracks, glaze losses
