A very large pair of Chelsea porcelain figures of fruit sellers, modelled by Joseph Willems. English circa 1755, red anchor mark. Provenance: Robert Jones Fine Art London 27/03/1992 (5,800 pounds). Robert Burke collection no 228. Reference: Chelsea and Other English Porcelain, Irwin Untermyer, Colour plate 22 and 23. These figures are known with baskets of fruit or empty baskets.
