Konica Type 89 Gun Camera Mark II, Circa 1933

Konica: Type 89 Moving-Image Machine-Gun Camera Mark II (a?«a¹?a¼?æ'»a??a??c?YeS?æ"¹aº?), circa 1933. Complete in custom metal locker with gun sight attachments, six metal film cassettes, lubricant flasks (one still full), servicing tool kit, bracket and clamp. Both camera and locker bear the serial number 2472, and an anchor imprint on the locker indicates that this example was used by the Japanese Imperial Navy. Produced by the Rokuoh-Sha manufacturing branch of what was then known as Konishiroku, this camera's design enabled machine gunners in-training to practice for combat in a manner that both preserved ammunition reserves, and prevented friendly fire incidents.
