A large antique Chinese blue and white porcelain vase converted to a table lamp, Qing Dynasty, 19th century, of square outline with a waisted neck above the body tapering towards the base, decorated with cloud and guardian lion motifs, on a painted wooden base, with a pleated cream fabric shade, 74 cm high without the shade. Provenance: Graham Geddes, Melbourne, 1986 (the original receipt accompanying the lot)

- Qing Dynasty - The Qing Dynasty was the last imperial dynasty of China, ruling from 1644 to 1912. It was established by the Manchu people, who originated from the northeastern region of China. The Qing Dynasty was preceded by the Ming Dynasty and followed by the Republic of China.
