A good pair of Japanese cloisonne dishes, Meiji period, late 19th century the pair of shallow dishes raised on a ring foot, each decorated with a dover and butterfly hovering above blossoming branches of peony and jasmine upon a turquoise ground, with a fine patterned border to the rim, the reverse with fish scale pattern wirework on mottled turquoise ground. Height 3 cm, diameter: 24 cm
