A Feltex picture rug of 'Mt. Egmont', depicting mount Taranaki, coated in snow, with a rural farm scene in the foreground. With the name of a previous owner written to the back. Feltex rugs started producing rugs with iconic landmarks for the tourist trade. In the 1960s and '70s, they became part of a greater cause to celebrate New Zealand scenery and culture. 131 x 69 cm
