Marks to case back plate, stem & bow ring, weight 108 grams, case width 48 mm: Engraved 'Presented to John Toan as a mark of Esteem by his Hobart friends April 1883. Later: Alex Morrisby 1934'. There was not one dominant style of furniture in the Victorian period.
