Joseph McKever, ironworker, age 29, born at New Monkland, Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, Scotland ; Enlisted 10 September 1914 at Black Boy Hill, Western Australia, in 12Bn, with previous service of 12 years in Royal Scotch Regiment; to Cpl 16Sep1914; reduced to ranks 25Oct1914; Embarked 2 Nov. 1914 to join Mef; to Cpl 29 Apr.1915; to Sgt. 1 July 1915; Wia 3 Nov. 1915 shrapnel wound left side, at Gallipoli and to No.3 Aux. Hosp. at Heliopolis; Appt'd Csm 6 Aug. 1916, France; to T/Rsm 9 Nov. 1916; revert to Csm 15 Jan.1917; placed on Syphilis Register 28 June 1918 and struck off 22 July 1918; married May Thurza Powell 14 Oct. 1918 at The Parish Church, Islington, London; Granted Special 1914 Leave in England, 45 days and report 9 Jan.1919; granted leave for non-military employment 11 Mar. 1919 to 11 Sep. 1919; Rta 6 Oct. 1919; Disch. 4 Dec.1919; Died 17 Oct. 1945 at Wagin Hospital, Wagin, WA.
