A fine Meissen porcelain Relief-Moulded cabinet plate, Meissen, blue crossed swords mark, impressed 116, circa 1880 finely painted after Watteau with a vignette of an 18th century courting couple in a garden, the broad shaped border finely painted with four purpurmalerei puce harbour views within beaded cartouches alternating with floral and honeycomb panels above trellis and strapwork, the relief continuing into the periphery of the well, with a pale-green chain at the rim, marked to the underside. Diameter 23.5 cm
