An impressive 18th century hei tiki, carved in kawakawa variety stone. Well defined facial features with deeply recessed double ringed eyes clear nasal ridge and mouth displaying three teeth. Thick muscular shoulders and torso carved with three ribs, both hands to thighs. Left lower leg broken away, 11 cm length.
