A Victorian silver double handled trophy cup, leaf and scroll engraving, fluted base, beaded band and spreading domed circular foot, presentation engraved 'This cup was purchased with Legacy under the Will of Lionel Oliver Bigg who died 30/8/1870' to one side, and motto to the other, gilt interior, Holland, Aldwinckle and Slater, London 1870. Height 28.5 cm, weight 1116 gm.

The Victorian period was preceded by the Regency and William IV periods, and followed by the Edwardian period, named for Edward VII (1841 ? 1910) who was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions and Emperor of India for the brief period from 1901 until his death in 1910.
