A Japanese cloisonne and gilt metal mounted dish, Meiji period (late 19th century) decorated with two birds on a blossoming branch of a cape jasmine surrounded by various flowers against a turquoise ground, the reverse with karakusa pattern wirework, gilt metal mounted with a pierced fleur-de-lys form rim, twin handles and raised on claw feet. Height 10 cm, diameter 26 cm
