Gallipoli - 'With The Camera At Anzac': group of 40 photographs (each 11.5 x 16 cm) taken by three young Australian soldiers Henry James Lowe, Arthur James Cook & George Downs at Anzac Cove and surrounding areas in 1915. This is an almost complete representation of the 42 photographs included in an album of photographs registered for copyright in 1919, under the title 'With the Camera at Anzac', a copy of which is held in National Archives. In addition a panoramic postcard (8.5 x 41 cm) showing North Beach photographed by Lowe & Downs is included (housed in an Australian War Contingent Association chocolate tin). It is not known whether the National Archives hold a copy of this photograph. The photographs were previously owned by Lance Corporal Ernest George Paine, who was wounded in action at Gallipoli in May 1915 (a copy of his AIF service record is included).
