A finely carved bamboo brushpot, 19th century of cylindrical section on five short bracket feet, carved around the exterior with scholars and their attendants at various leisurely pursuits, all beside pine, bamboo and plantain set within rockwork, the wood with a rich, warm, brown patina, height 16 cm
