Early fine stone headed war club, New Britain, Papua New Guinea. Carved hardwood, stone and shells. Long cylindrical shaft inserted through a large rounded doughnut-form stone at the top with shells applied around the inner edge on top and bottom, dark brown patina, length 61 x 8.5 cm.
