Enamel Windmill Music Box with Jewellery Compartment

An early 20th century Austrian gilt metal and enamel windmill jewellery music box, hand painted enamel panels of romantic courting couples in a medieval pastoral landscapes. The windmill blades with conforming decoration. The working music box to the gilt hexagonal base and is guarded by a gilt beaded chain. Winding key the base, the blades rotate but are not mechanical. The top removeable dome reveals a small jewellery or small treasure compartment. Height 23 cm.
