A blue and white porcelain plate in the Qing manner, a gently lobed plate centred with a figural narrative scene within a pavilion and garden setting enclosed by a pencilled main border with arrangements of plum blossom and peony, and narrow borders with scroll patterns, diaper and Daoist symbols, bearing Xianfeng mark, 1851-1861, marks underside, diameter 23.5 cm
