Fine early La Grange shield, Western Australia. La Grange bay shields have the incised interlocking key designs only on one side being the back of the shield and the front is either undecorated or has vertical striations. Carved and engraved hardwood. Provenance: Collected East Murchison, WA, 1948. Private Collection, Queensland. Approx. length 75 x 12.5 cm
