The Gloucestershire Eleven in 1877: original albumen photograph with fully printed details to the surround, laid down to original presentation paper backing, overall 10.5 x 15 cm. The image depicts a side featuring W.G., E.M. and G.F. Grace, as well as several other players who represented England. Gloucestershire won the (unofficial) County Championship in 1877 and W.G.Grace was the leading batsman in the competition. It was the year of the first Test Match against Australia.
