A sterling silver and enamel vesta case, the front white enamel 'calling card' design 'James Holmes, Bathurst, NSW', hallmarked Birmingham 1902, maker S. Morden & Co. Other Notes: James Holmes (1843-1914) was manager of the Commercial Banking Company's branch at Bathurst NSW and a very noted Shorthorn breeder.
