A 19th century Chinese decorative large silver mug, double-skin construction with glass base, all-over relief decorated with warriors, some on horseback, others bearing flags with various inscribed calligraphy, engaged in battle before a fort; the handle formed as a sinuous dragon. A raised shield to the front engraved: 'Presented to Capt. Gaby by the officers of the P&O Comy's S.Ship Azof, Jany. 1861'. Stamped twice to the base 'Leeching' [Canton, Hong Kong and Shanghai c1840-c.1870] height 14 cm, total 487gm.
