A Japanese Mashiko Mingei bowl by Sakuma Totaro (1900-1976), Showa period (1926-1989), circa 1950s, decorated with iron oxide enamels (tessha) depicting an abstracted pine tree against a copper green ground. With tomobako (original signed wooden box), inscribed 'Tessha matsu-e kazarizara' and 'Mashiko mingama Totaro', 3.5 cm high, 28.5 cm diameter. No visible faults or damage
