A small Venetian polychrome painted wooden blackamoor figural lamp, 19th century, modelled as a young gondolier, standing on the prow of a gondola, holding a removable oar in one hand, and holding a torch aloft in the opposite hand, the lamp with frosted glass flamiform shade. The whole painted in a rich colour palette, and raised on a cylindrical pedestal. . Approximately 124 cm high
