A rare calcified moa pelvis, displaying calcification suggesting this pelvis is at least 35,000 years old. Length 47 cm. Together with two other moa bones. Note: It is recorded that moa roamed New Zealand for millions of years until their extinction about 600 years ago. Provenance: Found by our vendor c.1963-65 on his Oparure family farm, south Waitomo district, when he was at high school.
