Hashan Tillakaratne's Sri Lanka Test Cap, dark blue wool with the Sri Lankan lion emblem embroidered to front, Albion label and signed by Tillakaratne inside. Attractively framed. Tillakaratne (born 1967) played in 83 Tests for Sri Lanka between 1989 and 2004, rising to the position of Test captain. He amassed 4,545 Test match runs at an average of 42.87. He was a key member of the 1996 Cricket World Cup winning team for Sri Lanka and is currently a politician and also involved in many aspects of cricket within the country. Originally purchased in Leski Auction No.213, Lot 434, May 2003, with original certificate of authenticity.
