Final (Geelong v Essendon) and the Grand Final (Carlton v Essendon). (Total: 4). Despite their losses to Essendon during the season - Carlton 1.11 (17) v Essendon 7.8. (50) in Round 3 and Carlton 6.13 (49) v Essendon 7.13 (55) in Round 14, Carlton 7.14 (56 defeated Essendon 8.5 (53) in the Grand Final in front of 116,828 fans.
