'Thunderbolt Racing Car' wind-up toy made from cream-coloured 'Duperite' plastic by moulded Products (Australasia) Ltd, streamlined appearance with front wheel drive; at least one wheel replaced, mechanism not operating, comes with original box; length (of car) 33 cm (13½'); Box 34 Cm (13¾'). Rare. (Moulded Products (Australasia) Later Known As Nylex Marketed Plastic Products Under the 'Duperite' brandname from the 1930s. 'Duperite' was made from a moulded thiourea-formaldehyde resin powder originally developed by the British Cyanide Company.)
