A Japanese Meiji large hexagonal lidded jar/tea caddy, the two large panels each with the seven legendary figures, Bishamon, Daikoku, Ebisu, Fukurokuju, Jurojin, Hotei and Benten framed in cobalt blue with elaborate gilt enrichments of butterflies, dragonflies and other forms, conforming lid. Remains of mark to base. Height 19 cm.
