Fred Baring: Match-used 'Jaques & Son' Cricket Bat with faint signature on the front in ownership position. (Fred Baring was a successful cricketer playing Sheffield Shield for Victoria, and managed 30 first-class matches 1911-29; he came close to playing Test cricket for Australia having been named in the squad to tour South Africa in 1914-15, but the tour was cancelled due to World War I. He also played 154 VFL games for Essendon 1910-24, and was named at full back in Essendon's official Team of the Century; he was a four-time premiership player and captained Essendon in 1918).
