Minute book of Trans Tasman Airservice Development Company limited. The Trans Tasman air service Company was formed by Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, P.G.Taylor, B.T.Shiel & J.W. Stannage on the 4th June, 1935 for the purpose of establishing an Australian - New Zealand air service. Minute book Provenance: after Kingsford Smith's death & the collapse of the Trans-Tasman air service Company this minute book came into the possession of aviation correspondent Jack Percival Jnr MBE who was Acting-Company Secretary of Trans-Tasman. See his letter, on blue note paper, to Beau Shiel 26th May 1936. The minute book remained with the Percival family until sold by Stanley Gibbons (Australia) Pty Ltd, Sydney on 16th June, 2004 as lot no 1103 (see enclosed catalogue and receipt). Private collection 2004 until now.
