An early 20th century carved and constructed Maori whare weather indicator, cane type sides and front, fine wire bound cane roof panels, decoratively carved framing timber-mahe, the two figures on a pivot indicating the weather, the chief in a cloak, the woman with pipe and baby swaddled to her back, the porch with woven cane fence and carved plinth, paua inserts. 23 x 12 x 16 cm.
