Large Chinese flambe vase of archaic form and Qianlong style, the pear-shaped body of rectangular section rising from a short straight foot to a slightly everted rim, set at the shoulder with a pair of lug handles and moulded to the front and back with a large peach coloured edging, covered overall in a rich bluish-red glaze thinning to buff tones at the edge, height 46 cm, width 29 cm
