Two blow guns and darts. Kandrian area, West New Britain, Papua New Guinea. The 2 bamboo blow guns are in 3 sections, each one being 3 length s (180 cm) each and the 2nd in 3 length s (160 cm) each. In New Guinea only the people of West New Britain made and used blow guns for hunting birds in the forest. This effective technology is widely used by the Dayak people on the island of Borneo in Indonesia, and how and when it arrived to this one area of New Guinea is unknown. These 2 exanples were collected in 1965-66 and were still being used at that time
