A pair of Burkina Faso Lobi bronze figures, of a seated man and woman, lost wax process. He holds an oliphant and a baton, her hair in four plaits, height 29.5 cm. Provenance: Private Collection of a Senior UNICEF Photographer in Africa c.1970 and her partner a diplomat with the British High Commission.

    It is very fluid in a molten state, and its hardness, strength when set, and non-corrosive properties makes it most suitable for casting sculpture.
