A French gold, enamel and jewelled compact by Auguste Peyroula, Paris, circa 1930, interior with mirror, two compartments and lipstick holder, open and closed by a slide, set with a rectangular carved jade, framed by rose cut diamonds. Fully marked throughout, no. '2979'. Auguste Peyroula worked in Paris for Cartier, Tiffany & Co, van Cleef & Arpels, and also sold under his own name. 7.3 x 4.2 x 1.4 cm
