British 1796 pattern cavalry sword, with a horn grip and bowed knuckle guard, the strongly curved blade adapted from Indo-Persian weapon, pricked eyelashes and stylised star armory mark, in a leather and brass sheath, possibly adpated from Indian campaign and re-fitted for Napoleonic wars. Condition: good, some tarnish and small knicks to blade, sheath split to edge, length of blade 72.5 cm.
