A Chinese famille rose 'Balsam Pear' bowl Daoguang Six-Character seal mark and of the period very finely painted in famille rose enamels to the exterior with a 'balsam pear' melon scrolling up a bamboo branch, with a butterfly hovering gently above the flowers, the decoration continuing into the interior. With a six-character mark of Daoguang in underglaze blue to the base, 10.8 cm diameter
