A Chinese Fujian carved Qingbai bowl Song Dynasty, the foliate-rim bowl well carved to the interior with a lotus blossom with foliage, covered with a yellow-olive coloured celadon glaze., the base within the footrim unglazed, 5 cm high, 17.5 cm diameter.

During the Song Dynasty, China had a prosperous economy and was a centre of international trade, particularly in luxury goods such as silk, tea, and porcelain. The use of paper money became more widespread during this period, facilitating commerce and trade.
