An early N.Z. 'Wilhous' 3 1/2 inch wide drum fly reel, with shortened smooth brass foot, 'strap -over' line tension regulator on back plate rim, ebonite handle and 'telephone' latch on faceplate. A rare reel made by N.Z. Sports Manufacturing Co., 205 Karangahape Road, Auckland, c.1920.
